Medicine for a Nightmare

Cotton, wool, jute, zari, hair, steel

A body of work taking the 1984 massacre of Sikh people in India as its foundation, using textile to conjure coalition beyond the structures that shape civic society. The tapestry continues the When My Drums Come Knocking, They Watch series. Made in dialogue with Nicholas Galanin and Maikoiyo Alley-Barnes.
